C64 Collaboration .... Anyone interested??

Post by Retrovertigo »

Hi

First post here and i'm already on the hunt. Basically I'm looking for anyone who might be interested in collaborating on a remix/rework of an old c64 tune. I've quite a bit of production work done myself on various different projects outside of the 64 but I'm really interested in teaming up with a few people because I think it would present a bit of a challenge.

Track is open to debate as would be any aspect. I'm an experienced guitar player but can comfortably cover most areas of a track. Any drum programming wizards or synth legends out there who are looking for a new angle?

I use Reason 2.5 BTW

That sounds cool. I think I'd like to join in  But it's gonna be tough because we dont all have the same synths etc...

I used to do collas using Yamaha XG, and we just sent the midi files over.

Are you thinkin of just one particular SID? Or maybe a "MegaMix Sid-O-Rama Marathon"

I've no particular track in mind as such. I think probably the best way to do it would be for someone to start a basic drum/click track and we all add parts from there. I use Reason 2 and Cool Edit Pro 2. If we agreed on a sequencer I suppose we could just mail each other the .wav and arrangement files. Or even if anyone has an already started track then we can just start from there..............

I guess it's a matter of tastes. I for example have used Cakewalk products since Pro Audio 5. A few times I have tried to use Cubase but it's so different/confusing and I didn't have patience to start learning it
