This is fantastic!! The usual rock-solid CCS64 emulation but with a much better windowed mode and easy access to all the option screens. It seems to run all the BZ demo disks that make WinVice fall over too. Kewl! 8)

The only slight niggle is I can't seem to access any of the option screens in fullscreen mode. Is that the problem you were having Matrix?

Much better than 3.0 beta version though - that didn't work at all on my PC (all the graphics were glarged!)

No kenz, everything seems to work fine other than joystick emulation in games - they load fine but I have no controls to play them :(

Now looking for some .d64 files ;) all contributions gratefully recieved

I remember dragging .d64 files into a window before. Maybe I'm thinking of a different c64 emulator.

I should go through my C64 collection and transfer them into .d64 format.

Thats if the 5 1/4" Diskettes are still readable after all these years.

I wrote an eMail to the CCS64 programmer once, because I wanted to register for it. The ordering mechanism automatically rounded from € 25,08 to € 30,00 for mail cash transfer - so I asked if € 25,00 was okay. I never got any reply, so I moved to Vice. :)

I'm a VICE man, myself... Last few releases of CCS64 just crashed on any machine I tried it on (and I tested it on about 3 at work, 2 here and my Fathers)!

Besides, VICE has the mega Resid engine for SID emulation - 'nuff said, really:)

I'm using either Vice or my nice new MMC64
Image
C64 SD card reader, just copy the .d64 .t64 .prg etc files to the SD card, ionsert the MMC64 cartridge in the C64 and have FUN !! :D
Single load stuff works like a charm, and multiload stuff (and demo's that hate cards) can be writen to 5.25" in about 80seconds with the fast writer plugin..
This is the best thing I bought since I bought a secondhand C64 (my old one died from A TV falling on top of it)..

Is there a None UK site that sells this stuff? $17 Euro for a cable is like $23 for me.

Hey Jinx.

Thanks for showing me this and MAKING me spend money I DON'T HAVE!

Just out of interest, what make SD card are you using with? I'll have to buy one and am not sure how particular the MMC64 is... Don't want to buy one that doesn't work :?

Thanks.

Well I bought the cheapest SD card(s) I could find..

A 512 MB one from Sandisk (has the HVSC on it now)
And a 2 GB one from PEAK (or something.. the cheapest I could find)

There's a wiki with compatible SD cards, but I think just about any card should[/b] work, as long as you format them FAT16..

German wiki link with compatible cards
