What to do next?
I'm still wondering what to remix next?
Did the Arkanoid remix, and the Dutch Breeze/Robocop 3 remix and I started a thread on Lemon64 regarding this subject but I might as well do it here instead.
Definite candidates so far are:
·Magic Disk Issue 09/90 (Thomas Detert)
·Green Beret (Main theme, subsong 10) (Martin Galway)
Chris, what about including some of my stuff on a future release if we find the right song?

It's really weird, I did not realize it was you until I checked your website just 1 minute ago, and suddenly things fell into place.tom wrote:....TAKE the one by this dude called Mr DETERT
See, you didn't mention anything else than you were merely *friends* with Mike, not that you actually wrote the goddam stuff with him (sneaky bastard! )
I remember looking at the credits a long time ago for 666 and seeing the name Thomas Detert, wondering to my self if that person indeed was the Mr. Detert from the C64 scene, but it seemed a bit unlikely somehow... OMG!
You're probably laughing your pants off, but I truly did not realize this!
As I said in another post I am huge fan of 666! Now you know I am gonna pester you as fanboy #1 on this board

and since 666 was very big in Scandinavia, it would have been very arrogant to tell you directly<b>" Hey, don't ya know who i am ?? I am the 666 Author/Producer "</b>
Now you know.. but i am still TOM on the board here and i do love to remix c64 tunes like anyone else on remix64.com
cheers TOM::::....
meet me in BRIGHTON

I understand what you're saying, but I wouldn't have perceived it as arrogance in any way, just maybe something you were proud of, and rightly so.
I suppose you are a very modest person, and not fake modesty that is.
Personally I am not modest at all, I'm proud of my achievements and can't shut up about them!
You are quite correct that 666 was extremely popular in Scandinavia, and it still is superb quality.
Did you also write "Y.O.U." or have something to do with that song? It's one of my favourites also, and I noticed you are connected to Noémi?

yes, we do NOEMI as wellDid you also write "Y.O.U." or have something to do with that song? It's one of my favourites also, and I noticed you are connected to Noémi?
But different to 666 , there are two other guys ( Thorsten Kipka & Manfred Hölter) who are highly involved into this project... mostly Thorsten and Manfred are writing and recording the vocals and Mike and me are doing the composing and production stuff
we call it TEAM WORK
well, there's nothing wrong with being proud of your achievementsPersonally I am not modest at all, I'm proud of my achievements and can't shut up about them!
I am ,too... but mostly people on this board do know that i am a producer of some wellknown DANCE-ACTs and as you said i am modest
btw: nice website

That's cool
I was wondering, do you own a studio with Mike or do you have seperate home studios and rent studio time in town when mixing or?
I'd like to see to pics of the studio where you made the 666 stuff!
Glad you like my website, it's very simple but friendly for the user I believe.
Pics of me hard (?!) at work in my studio on my Robocop 3 remix

Im gonna start for def tomorrow my own remix (finally!)for my first mix Im doing Ninja 3 end sequence tune (cant remember what song it is in in Sidplay) but after that I dont know. A lot of tracks have been covered already....some VERY good and some VERY crap. I dont think its the way they have been covered anymore, I think its the style they are in. The community wants something different or just plain fucking GREAT (or maybe thats just me.) I always look forward to getting a new Mahoney mix cos he injects so many great new ideas into how a tune should be done. I will probably spend a while trawling the PD scene for music to mix cos it is an untapped resource of some really good tunes that could be done. Either that or look for a catchy game tune that hasnt been covered to death or not covered at all, its a rareity but there will be some out there (Batman tune 9 springs to mind........ )Lagerfeldt wrote:I'm just wondering right now what remix to do
No, everything was done in our own (old) StudioI was wondering, do you own a studio with Mike or do you have seperate home studios and rent studio time in town when mixing or?
( NOEMI was mixed there, too) we have moved now to our new Studio-Building ,close to the airport in Dortmund !!
That's why we've named it "AIRBASE MEDIA CENTER" or "AIRBASE MEDIA STUDIOS" !!
"ACTIVATE Music Productions" is now a division of
"AIRBASE artists + more" !
Unfortunatly I have only made an image with my Nokia so far

But we are planning to do a big fotoshooting for the whole building and Studio A & B very soon.... Images will be available at:
