Ok, you've been to other countries and whitnessed unusual ways.. but i'm sure many here have found amusement in how their dialect or ways have been taken in a different light... anyone got any similar stories?
1) SPAIN
Asks waiter for a bag of Salt 'N Viniger Crisps..
Waiter looks confused..
Ask again for a bag of Salt 'N Vinigar Crisps.
He looks at me confused..
I action eating a bag of crisps, and motions the act of vinigar and Salt.
He suddenly reacts... "AHHHHH!" and walks off..
He returns with a bag of plain crisps, a bottle of vinigar and a bottle of salt!
GERMANY:
Asks waitress for a pint of Lager..
She returns will a small glass of larger.
After a while of drinking miniscule amounts i ask her for a bigger glass.
She looks at me and says..."Bigger?", i nod and say.."Hey, I'm English".
She returns with a Glass the size of a barrel.
I respond.. "I love you!"
AMERICA:
I ask.. "Can i have 20 Marlboro!"
She says.."TWENTY?"
I say, "errr. yes TWENTY"
she returns with 20 packets of Cigs.
I look at her confused.."I SAID 20!, not 200!"
Turns out England sell 10's and 20's in a packet.. In the US they only sell 20's and so 20 here is just twenty cigs.. in the US it's 20 packets!
In other worlds..
