Link between Pink Floyd and Last Ninja?

Today I sat and listened to the intro from Wish U Were Here by Pink Floyd.

It reminds me so much of Last Ninja, subtune 3.

Even the same key I believe!

Anyone ever spotted this? Extremely similar in some respects or is it just me?

Do you mean Shine On You Crazy Diamond (i.e. the first track off that album? Maybe Ben was listening to a lot of Pink Floyd when he did Wastelands

Still, it's one of the most remixed SIDs out there so wherever the source it just shows it's an awesome song....
