Very good. Romeo Knight himself explains the RSI Megademo...
A very well done DVD, a nice gift for X-Mas...

i got mine at the weekend. what a great dvd! brings back so much memories!
the quality of the videos and the 5.1 upmix is so great!
i agree with you eike, the "wicked sensation"-demo should've been on this dvd. anybody knows why it isn't?
@eike: in the commentary you say that the the song "RSI-hard" is out of tune. i always thought that was intentional!
one thing that could've been interesting for the listeners would be the fact that "rise up" contains samples from the R-Type title-tune
@volker: wie geht's so? wann machen wir die nächste c64-party?

Yes, it's a very professionally made DVD product.arvirus wrote:i got mine at the weekend. what a great dvd! brings back so much memories!

I suppose they wanted the RSI Megademo on the disc because it was kind of a starting point for the whole demoscene development at the early times. And they didn't want to have two demos of one group on the disc either.arvirus wrote:i agree with you eike, the "wicked sensation"-demo should've been on this dvd. anybody knows why it isn't?
You're absolutely right. The R-Type title tune contained 4 different very good samples (the low pad, the strings, the lead, the vibes) that I did use in quite a few own mods. And the drums e.g. I took from "Word up" by Cameo. But to bring it to a point: Almost all samples used in this time I took from somewhere else, be it regular music or other mods. If I'd the money to buy real synths or sound expanders in this early years I probably wouldn't have started doing AMIGA Mods.arvirus wrote: @eike: in the commentary you say that the the song "RSI-hard" is out of tune. i always thought that was intentional!
