Mobile SID or Mod player
Mobile SID or Mod player
Hello,
I was supprised that no one has yet made a SID player for mobile phones.
I saw there was a Java SID player, so it should be easy to convert with J2ME right?
Also if there is a mod player for mobile phones that would be cool too.
I use a SE W810i btw and this is my first topic and post here.

My Nokia 9300i can use SIDs as ringtones with this SID-controller.

Yeah unfortunately.Feekzoid wrote:I think its just Symbian OS phones that can play SID's.
There is a javasidplayer called Jsid ttp://www.dreamfabric.com/c64/jsidplay/
If somebody here knows anything about J2ME maybe they could convert it to a .jar file.
I sent a mail to the author of the Java SID player you found there and mentioned the same idea, and asked if he knew anything about it. But as he said many of the music packages that is available on regular Java is not present in the J2ME so it requires some rewriting.I saw there was a Java SID player, so it should be easy to convert with J2ME right?
However there is this project that seems to have implemented some sort of SID emulation in J2ME, so perhaps that is the project to look at instead. But I haven't seen this program in action

Commodore Sid Player for Mobiles with Symbian 3rd!
Scenetone - http://www.pygmyprojects.com/scenetone.html
It's for the newer version of Symbian (S60 3rd). It supports MOD,MTM,XM,IT,S3M and SID (Commodore C64 music). To open files faster copy them in the default directory (E:\MyOwn\Mods\).
