As I write this, Kyrill hits my hometown. The storm has lost power after crossing the western lowlands but easily snapped one or two trees in our park and there were some roofing tiles on the sidewalk.
What happened at your site ?

Kyrill - A precursor of storms to come ?
All is lost.
It's been bad over here too. Doncaster was isolated for a period of time with all major motorways and many main roads having to be closed.
Doncaster's old Belle Vue "football stadium" got a battering leaving it in shreds with the roof finding it's way onto one of Doncaster's main roads. Fortunately Doncaster moved into it's new stadium on the 1st of this month... HOW LUCKY WAS THAT?!?!?!
Eight people have died in the storm's in the UK It's sad to say.

But yea, it has been bad over here, just got in from work and the amount of people that have been saying its taken them five hours to get from Manc to here was amazing, many many many roads all around the uk have been closed due to overturned lorries and bridges not being safe to cross.
<fnordpojk> Dan_Gillg: Is WoW down, or what brings you here?

Should have updated earlier.
At 22:00 the storm suddenly stopped followed by an eerie silence. I thought this must been the eye of the storm but nothing happened afterwards.
We had great luck.
Over 30 people in europe didn't had any luck and died.
And experts say we have to expect even more and bigger storms in the future...
