Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO what a ride'

Oh boy! Being the massive RealSID fan that I am I can't wait to give these a whirl! :D

Not sure about the idea of using just one C64 for ALL the 6581 recordings though (unless it just so happens to have the best SID chip in the world!) - sometimes I try a SID tune on quite a few different C64's just so I can get the absolute best "sounding" version before I record it - so this will be very interesting ... !

Hats off to the SOASC guys though, this is quite an achievement and I'm sure will be an excellent resource for SID fans.

Kenz, that's.... em.... words fail me!

But for the true purist, that is not enough! You need the original C64 used for every SID!

No, you need to recreate the exact environmental conditions in which the SID was composed, so the organic engineering of the SID chip can create magic! That means lots of second hand-smoke and programmer sweat. If you worked at System 3, you'd also need some bullshit to hand :)
Won't somebody PLEASE think of the children?
