Blunt, shameful rip-off, please help out!! =(

Right.

A blessed listener mailed me feeback about one of my remixes.

Seems a to me unknown individual called "DJ Balor" has ripped my Noisy Pillars (Euro-4-Sure mix) straight off, and reposted it on mikseri.net, under a totally different title, "DJ Balor - End Of Summer", claiming to be the arranger.
Only thing he has done, is to downgrade the MP3 to 160kbps instead of my original 192, which the RKO version use.

Even though he (as I understand it) do not earn money on this, it is a right-down lousy thing to do, and he should not be allowed to get away doing it.

Now, I am not good at reading Finnish, and even though the site has a semi-english function, I cannot read comments and such.

Therefore I beg for help from some scenres with knowledge in Finish to check him out and maybe post some commets to make him realise the rerror of his mistake.

Also, poeple should check out his tunepage at http://www.mikseri.net/artists/?id=29745 , to make sure none of the other tunes also are blunt rip-offs.

This guy should be ashamed, and I could need some help making him feel just that!

It has also come into light that the track "The Wall" on his site is infact an AmigaRemix track callled " Dj Bo - Turrican II - The Wall Extended". Question is if Dj Bo is infact the same guy as DJ Balor?
If not, there's another straight rip-off for you.

Seems the site maintainers have reacted at lightspeed to criticism, and the mentioned track rip-off has been removed from the page. The others remain still, included the mentioned Amiga remix, which still is uncertain if it's a rip-off or not. Anybody have insight on this? Is Dj Bo and Dj Balor the same guy? I sure wouldn't mind him posting a public appology for his behaviour, and bringing grit over our beloved scene.

It probably is. That kind of complete song rip-off is rarely an isolated insident. It's some talentless type who wants to get some praise. It happens pretty often it seems. It's happened to me at least three times.

Really rather sad behaviour.

It's a bit like being in a job and you do something that improves your company's performance only for someone else to step up and take credit. In that respect it happened to me and it's fooking annoying.

It's your hard work, your good doing.. It's so wrong and annoying that some clever wannabe tries to take over it!

Update (late, but hey, it's something!):

Seems he had ripped another track off as his own too, DJ Bo's The Wall from Turrican. After investigation Dj Bo is not the same guy as this bastard ripper. They just have similarities in the choise of nick, that's all.

Good thing is that the user DJ Balor seem to have been removed from the mentioned site, so it pays off to be observant and informative. =) *victory*

Not a single peep of appology from the wanker, though. But hey. He's gone and hopefully intimmidated enough not to do it again.
