One old song that impressed me at the time was Reverie of Truth that was done for an amiga demodisk wich sadly I don't remember the name of.

Oh.. it is a 'remix' of the one that was in the demodisk because for the demo, they shortened the music to about 2min and there was a lot of unused blocks because of that. At the time (early 90s) I rearranged those blocks to 'recreate' the full song. It's not the same as Reverie of truth 2 though.
