Back in Time Live 2007 - official thread
Just back also, i second the recovering starts now and add a detoxing to it. i had a spiffing time the whole four days in London, even the aching feet seems like a minor thing now that i'm home againtas wrote:Just back... Aching and very tired. Was nice to actually speak with many whom I'd not really spoke to that much before.. Ie. Steve Baratt, Andreas, Misser, Jeroen Tel, Jason Page, Tron, The Subversive elements and many others of whom i spoke to.
Also great meeting the gang again, Tomsk and Dan are great fun to be with and Misser certainly can drink
Nice to meet the usuals there too as always.. Boz, Makke, Slay, Merman, Warren "I want to be Ben Daglish" Pilkington, and the rest who i can't remember right now.
The event was tidy and cosy and enjoyable.
The recovery starts now
Dan, Tomsk and Tas I'm still having a big smile on my face from our day after party 'slow down'. Just a shame that we got thrown out off two pubs because they closed, next time we should do it in NL

Glad you enjoyed yourself, squire. And good to meet you, too.Misser wrote: Just back also, i second the recovering starts now and add a detoxing to it. i had a spiffing time the whole four days in London
Incidentally, my post-event write up is done, and be warned, it's very lengthy indeed!

Well, after also arriving in our part time home in Bonn, I want to thank all people involved in this great event and say that we really had damn great time!
Sadly we where there a bit late because of late lunch, but we where in time for seeing and enjoying ComputeHer and I really liked it and think it was a great kick-off.
8-Bit-Weapon was great too (btw. I like that vocoder sound ) and by that time Ziphoid allready managed to talk us into buying six CDs, that bastard!
The Danceaway act was big fun too and having some breakfast acquaintance from Slaygon and Andreas (we where at the same breakfast) winning the dance contest was a funny thing too, and it was great to hear from them the next morning that they had really enjoyed it too.
To see Jeroen Tel again (after really enjoying his performance and his coffee at X2006) was big fun and I loved his finger LED enhanced Jeroen-Style air keyboard playing! It was so much better to listen to him without someone constantly shouting into the microphone, as anybody beeing also at X06 might attest. I really hope he makes a CD from his setup, because I'd love to have one!
Even after listening to Reyns live sessions over SLAYRadio a few times I can only say, that seeing him actually doing it just a few steps infront of you is so amazing, that I had trouble to hold my camera and the expression of my face constantly switched between grinning like a Cheshire cat while feeling happy to be there and mouthgapping astonishment for the things Reyn was able to do from just a shouted idea from the audience.
Additionaly I think flower child Makke did a great job guiding through the evening! And I loved the signs/banners held up from Chris and various people (like "throw underwear now!") during the performances and sometimes laughed my ass off.
A big thanks to Chris and of course Skitz for organizing things and the latter also for sedulous helping with all the setup and cabel stuff during the show, and even if it didn't work out that well, thanks to Slaygon for sending as much as possible over the stream, I sure will keep the stream recording just for the memories, and to all the others I sure forgot!
And besides all this it was great to have some days to meet great people from the scene and have some nice private talking and a beer with them.
We surely see you again next time!

*pfew* What a weekend. There's really not much more I can say.
I just loved this event and its surrounding days and even though it's good to be back home, I still want it to continue.
The plane home got 3 hours delayed which was NOT funny, since the original arrival time was scheduled to 23.25 so I'm kinda beat atm, but it was SOOOO worth it!
Expect more 'reviewing' done by me on my show this upcoming Thursday.
To all of you I had the pleasure of either meeting again or for the first time I just want to say it was nice meeting you. Even though I mostly stood behind the CD stand and tried to lure you out of your money I had a blast and a perfect view of the stage as well.
To Chris: Excellently done, my dear Sire! Please do it again.
To LMan: Great to finally get to meet you!
To all others: Thank you for making this event a truely fond memory for me and I hope to see you at the next one, if not sooner.
Btw, would anyone be interested to come if I looked into the possibility of arranging a similar event in Stockholm, Sweden next year? I guess I'll have to make a thread with a poll for that one.

Sorry about that. Someone wearing you name on his/her t-shirt really deserves your attention.

Wow. What a fantastic event!
I met some old friends, and I met some new ones, too! The problem is I didn't get to talk to quite as many people as I hoped. As with all these types of event, it's a case of "too many people, not enough time".
But congratulations, Chris, on making this happen. It was excellent! No doubt I'll be boring everyone with anecdotes on my BBB show on Wednesday, so I apologise in advance
