I hereby swear, that I....
... will upload a new remix of R1D1 before two weeks have passed! ... Failure to do so shall result in the complete curse of constant "Forum Loony" status for all eternity! (it will be up to the admins to keep that working he he! ).... self indulged curses... love em'!
Thought I'd better make a commitment to my previous promises... just two weeks (as I'm waiting some new equipment next week that I intend to use)...
Expect all and nothing...

Analog-X: You are right... It's today (saturday), and it will be sent to RKO tonight ...
Now I'm a little behind scedual, since this piece is really weird! ... It's hard to give it a fast tempo like I want, but I believe I've done it now... original runs at 94 BPM, and I've squeezed it up to 128 BPM, and that required some thinking... also the way it's build is very odd... it has 7 bars to one refrain, which is quite odd... it's normaly either 4, 8 etc. In addition I had to sample some of the original since R1D1s charm comes from the very weird synced/ringmoded sounds of it, and trying to do these myself does not give the same sound... it's like that with some SID tunes... you simply HAVE to sample it, since it virtualy impossible to recreate... mostly this is due to the synchronizing between oscillators playing different melodies... on "normal" synths it's not possible to control individual oscillators on different MIDI channels.. so there is one thing SID does exclusively!... I don't know why this has not been implemented on other synths, as it opens possibilities with very charateristic sounds...
On top of this, my analog mixer quit working yesterday on the AUX sends, so I had to spend some time fixing that as well

Well... I've been listening to this remix all day now... and I'm going to take a nap from it... sometimes music sound SHIT after a break... hope this will not be the case here cause then it'll be a little more before it's finished, as I'm not releasing shit ... but if it sound as well as it does right now in my ears, then I'm REALLY happy with the outcome
