Excellent Chris.
On one level it can perhaps sound a bit hippocritic as some of the old C64 songs were based on commercial music, except in a very convoluted form, but on the other hand, in this day and age where record companies are sueing end-users aggressively over copyright misuse, and with these artists bringing home major dole, it is quite tasteless not to pay credit where credit is due, and in hard cash.
And Timbaland appears to be so arrogant about it that a lesson should be taught here.

So that's what you said earlier in this thread (didn't you?) you cannot talk about yet!? So now you can? Tell us more!Chris Abbott wrote:Well, lawsuit(s) are indeed imminent, and I've contributed a detailed independent report.
Chris
There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary and those who don't.
I've just spent 3 hours reading though this entire thread and visiting almost all of the links.
I can't believe the attitude of many who have posted in defence of Timbaland on the youtube clips.
I hope this gets sorted and Timbaland comes out of this learning a lesson and that the Janne/GRG get compensation.
My only fear is that if Timbaland ends up winning then it may open the floodgates for more of the same.

I don't know any times/dates, etc, and I can't talk about the contents of my report (since it's now owned by GRG's legal team), but when stuff happens, I guess it will be in the news!omoroca wrote:So that's what you said earlier in this thread (didn't you?) you cannot talk about yet!?
