It's an explanation of the benefits of 1-bit sampling at 5.something megahertz... an interresting approach that I might consider to record final mixes ... and it's gettin' cheaper with KORG's new products (no... I'm no KORG associate).
I'm just wondering if it's practical? ... What about mastering? ... is it possible to make plugins that work at this high megahertz rate yet? ... I just think that, if you record to this format, you'd have to use special mastering software that work in 1-bit format...
Well, the graphs in the PDF convinced me it's the best digital recording method of the future for sure... and I like the idear of having this "1-bit master" that you can always go back to, to make other formats as new technology gets out...
But would it benefit any of you 100% softnerds until they do plugs in 1-bit format? ... is PC's ready today for 5.something megahertz plugs?
You're welcome to debate the need for this format ... I know indeed ONE person in here, that would be twitching to put a word or two to this topic.... any idears who that might be XO?
