Hey folks!

I've got a bit addicted to a tune from the Madfiddler's website, playing it for several hours. Check the "Aquilyra Theme" on the Madfiddler's site.

Mark playing Monty on the Run will be worth the whole trip to England!

His avowed aim is to play it with 100% accuracy (Pascal cheated slightly in the interests of staying alive!!).

It's madfiddler, btw. No capitalisation!

Grin. Right, thanks Yodel... cheque's in the post.

OK, my take on Monty, cos I don't want to let you all down.

I've been playing the violin since I was 6. And I STILL can't play Monty completely right at full speed. So, what do I do? I either play it at full speed, and the end part sounds a bit of a mess (I can play the rest at full speed), or I slow it down between 5 and 10 %. Now, 10 percent, and you'll notice. 5 % and you won't. I can just about manage 5% if I'm warmed up enough. I've played it, at full speed, to a standard I'm happy with, 2-3 times, and for me, that isn't worth the risk.

So my plan is to get it right at 5 % slower than the PPOT CD version.

It's simply too impossible, or, I'm just not good enough. I can't even wank fast enough, let along bow fast enough, haha. And believe me, it's all in the wrist!!!

Anyway, there's still a few days of practise to go, which I'll make the most of. I'm completely looking forward to doing this. But if I f**k it up, which is a possibility, I won't be a happy bunny afterwards.

Anyway, the evening's gonna ROCK!!!!

And yes, it's "madfiddler" hehe,
