Chris Abbott wrote:There's a major difference between "unedited SID with crappy drum loop" and "skilfully edited SID recreation with breakbeat", which I believe this is. We've really got to stop taking things that seriously, too. It's really strange that a C64 remix site should appear to discriminate against SID sounds, on the grounds that anything that sounds a bit SIDDy and a bit Drummy should be rejected automatically. If it works, accept it. If it's obvious crap, reject it.
[...]
The main question is: does it work?
The SID+Drums bit was added at a time when a large number of uploads fell into the "unedited SID with crappy drum loop" category, and has managed to stay part of the upload guidelines ever since.

But like Chris says, there's a world of difference between a good genre X tune and a bad one. So, after thinking about it for a bit, the SID+Drum part of the guidelines has now been axed. We still reserve the right to reject anything that doesn't work, though. :D

Simple breakbeat remix. The original by Martin Galway was so good that I prefered to add other than modidy too much the main "theme". That's my second tune, done with Fruity Studio and QuadraSid... Sure I'm gonna modify it when I'll put it on Nuendo for a VIP mix
More info on the "I present myself" thread.
Hope someone enjoy!
"FILE NOT FOUND" :(

Does anyone have a copy of this? :help:
