Hi everyone!
Yes.. I've gone nostalgic and bought myself a used A500
In fact I've decided, that I'll try and build a SID chip into this A500 through one of it's ports, and code an engine for it on the good ol' miggy!
But, but, but.... It's been ages since I did code on this machine, and as such I don't know which assembler is the best one out there if you need one that will load right of a floppy drive... it's my intention to use just a standard A500 with 512kb of memory and a floppy drive.
Does anyone know which is the best one? ... I used to work on asmone that ProMax from Kefrens did, and I'd like it to be the same family, so that I'll not have to dig deep into books to get started.
Hope anyone here knows something and maybe have a link for me?
Need help with A500!

Re: Need help with A500!
Never coded anything from scratch but I remember the following, were good.
Devpac 3.0
AsmOne
A68K supposed to better then SEKA
I first found out about Seka when one of the members of "Star Frontiers" sent me a copy + some text scroller code to play with.

Thanx ANX! ... I think I'll try and find the AsmOne assembler... SEKA was what I used before AsmOne.

Re: Need help with A500!
Your sure you don't want at least a second (external) floppy drive with that? Don't want yourself swapping discs to death, wontcha?
All is lost.

Vosla: Hmmm.... maybe, but I'll only have to change once when the assembler has loaded... I don't expect any crashes
