Download from RKO on a PS3
Got an email from someone claiming it's not possible to download tunes using the PS3s webbrowsers. Unfortunately the guy didn't leave his name/email address so I can't check with him if the patch that I just applied has had any effect.
So if anyone out there has a PS3 hooked up to the internets, could you please check up on it?
(Of coz, if anyone wants to send me the cash to buy one, I can check it myself.)

Just checked out the PSP and downloaded sYmBoLs - Last Ninja 2 - Mansion (spirtual awakening edit).mp3 without any problems. Will check out the PS3 in a little bit.
PS3 doesn't work. it fubars at the first space in the file name (%20)

I have a Wii console but the browser isn't free.
It costs 500 Mario points or whatever they're called, and I have none.
Anyone want to make a donation?

Thanks for trying it out.

Ah the Wii, must try that one also. Glad I didn't update the photo channel so it still plays mp3'somoroca wrote:I have a Wii console but the browser isn't free.

omo: just get yourself one off those wii points cards and your done, or if you signed up for clubnintendo you should have about 2000+stars and convert them to the needed 500 wii points.

Re: Download from RKO on a PS3
This is kinda third hand information I am afraid, as I don't own a PS3 myself, but a friend of mine reported similar problems with copying files from his PC to the PS3. He had to rename them so that the spaces were renamed to use underscores rather than "spaces" so I guess the same must be occuring when attempting to download files from the web.
I guess you could modify your download.php script if you really wanted to, so that it renamed the files as part of the download. I certainly don't think its worth your time (A contender for understatement of the centuary there I think).
Cheers

Thanks for the hint! Yes, I am Club Nintendo member and own 1250 stars. I have also registered my Wii for that account.Misser wrote:Ah the Wii, must try that one also. Glad I didn't update the photo channel so it still plays mp3's

But how can I trade the stars into Wii points? Haven't found anything!

Re: Download from RKO on a PS3
Now I found it. Forgot to register Wii Sports, so I now have 2250 points.
Trading 2000 of them for 500 Wii points...
Done.
Buying the Wii browser for 500 points...
Done.
Trying to download an MP3 from remix.kwed.org...
Got an error message:
240020: The file format audio/mpeg is not supported.
Bummer!

Ahh you must have the new v1.1 picture channel then. They removed mp3 support and changed it with acc or something. I'll check it out on my not updated Wii. Nah doesn't work also, shame.omoroca wrote:Now I found it. Forgot to register Wii Sports, so I now have 2250 points.
