C64 remix banners!

Post by beyond »

Hi guys,

I'm setting up a banner service for us remixers. The C64 banner is great but we need more focus on ourselves ;-)

Therefore, please reply with a line like this (or send me an email if you're shy)

Code: Select all

name, image URL, description for your site
for your banner. For me it would be

Code: Select all

beyond, http://www.pressplayontape.com/gfx/remixbanner.gif, Live C64 roc=k music!
Then I'll have some test data to work with. Be sure that the banners are in 400x40 pixel size.

The amount of exposure could either circular, 1,..,n,1,..,n , which would give equal exposure to all (this would be easy to implement too!). Or it could be proportional to the amount of banners shown on your site (this would lead to no exposure to the "small" ones. I think the small ones deserve more exposure, so I vote for the first, circular version. If you have an opinion about how the amount of exposure should be computed otherwise please comment in this thread as well.

You would also need the target URL, right? :)

As for rotation: I think circular is fair play - equal exposure for all. Remember when the c64 banner exchange showed almost nothing but "Girls of the C64"?

Yes and no. I was thinking about my own random URL for testing and then get the URLs later but go ahead with a URL as well if you please :)
