Mixing experiments

Post by Amok »

I just was playing around with some mixing/mastering tools today and this is what came out. A Great Giana Sisters Remix but please focus on the mixing/mastering aspects. Is the sound quality any good? Maybe my ears are blind now after spending the last hours with this track... :)

Clear as a bell sound wise at the beginning (i lol'ed at the 300 sample at the start, well used)
really well done as it goes.

Low points - drums are hidden away in the background a bit, could do with coming forward having a bit of UMPH to the bassdrum itself but apart from that.

Nice.

Just took a more "ooomphy" kick and changed the lead in the second half. I think the mixing in the second half could be better. I dont know... Blind ears again... :D
