You can split track in wav (here I think sperate drums from the instrument), but it take a MUCH more space. For uploading you should do flac (can save up to about 40% without degree of the sound) and I think 16 bit was fine, since it would been compressed anyway in the final version.

I was considering doing this one Skitz in a prog-rock Emerson, Lake & Palmer style mix. One for my to-do list in 2009. Currently working on a new David Whittaker remix at the moment from his 1986 Mastertronic game which hopefully should be released by the end of November.
