Delta Mix-e-Load....Here's a thought......
I have in the past, and still do love playing with the Delta Mixeload. I think although the melodies are a tad basic, they still mesh well together and would make for an excellent remix. But the problem comes when everyone has their own favorite styles, so how would you remix it to the satisfaction of everyone here.......
Well you could try this.
Instead of trying to remix a choice of sections, it could be reMADE with modern instruments. Get some code hog to put it all together and a graphics whizz to knock up some legendary logo.
Invite all of the top remixers to remake sections and possibly add new bass lines, drums , etc
For example - you could have the lead done by Romeo Knight, the Bass by Lman, and the drums by Infamous
or you could have lead by Mad Fiddler, Bass by Makke and drums by Rauli........... you get the idea.
This could be one of the most fun SID collaborations and would also have a wicked end product. Feasible - or just pipe dream ???
Your thoughts.

Its very feasible, I would recommend something like Multi Media Fusion or even Flash for the GUI/Coding Part.

That's a great idea! Somebody do it, pleeeeze!
I actually made my own Mix-E-Load SID track by recording myself "Jamming" along with the C64 Mix-E-Load and then I snipped out the sections I didn't like to leave a 100% cool track ... (which I then promptly lost in the great dual hard-drive crash of 2008!)

Re: Delta Mix-e-Load....Here's a thought......
Well - it's just an idea. Musically and code input you won't get much more from me, although I'd maybe I'd pull a riff out of the hat.
Nice to see some big names fancy this, but I'm guessing to kick start this we need some ground rules regarding timing and key. To keep things in check everyone would need to keep the same key as the original, and also the same bpm (if anyone can work that out using sidplay or some other clever plug-in).
I'm not a techie, but would love to see this startup and maybe others could join in.
Any ideas from "proper musicians" and coders instead of my ramblings would be a good start.
Tomsk - i.e. none proper musician or coder

Re: Delta Mix-e-Load....Here's a thought......
What an absolutely FANTASTIC idea oh master Tomsk!!!
I think the first thing we need to do is extract all of the various parts from the original SID as individual LEAD, BASS, DRUM sequences - we can ignore the FX settings for the moment I think. Here are the various sequences and I think that the SID in the HVSC has all of these in at least one of the sub-tunes so it should be easy enough to extract each with SIDPLAY1 unless some 64 code guru (i've forgotten all my 64 coding skills!) knows how to do it another way?
LEAD
MAINSHUM
FUNKY
BOUNCE
ARPEGGIO
BASS
BLAHBLAH
VLTONE
TERENDY
NOLANS
LEVEL43
SPACIAL
DRUMS
WHINE
BONHAM
DEPECHE
RUMBA
MARCH
I'll have a go at extracting the various sections using SIDPLAY1 if I get the time

Re: Delta Mix-e-Load....Here's a thought......
When you do that be sure to share the zip
I think it could be fun to leave the original SID waves too.

Re: Delta Mix-e-Load....Here's a thought......
Well - I would only capture the lead without any FX but you could quite easily replicate them with real FX anyway

Re: Delta Mix-e-Load....Here's a thought......
Seems to be gaining some momentum with some more top musicians expressing interest.
Unfortunately Skitz, we now need you to pull the rabbit out of the hat with regard to the Sidplay files. Good luck my friend. Call it evens for that HL2 gift
If these files are uploaded and available then maybe even more peeps will join the merry band. Oh and don't forget we need the scrolly text too

Re: Delta Mix-e-Load....Here's a thought......
Unfortunately it is not going to be as easy as I thought seeing that the .SID file in HVSC has only 16 random combination's of the various BASS, LEAD, DRUM and FX selections!
I will pull all of these out and match label them with the various names but it's not going to contain all of them and some of the leads will have FX applied.
There is a single file of the loader on and I'll try and remember some of my old 64 coding skills to get it just play each channel solo - should be easy enough to spot
