did you try loading the crunched twilightzone using those Amiga tools?
I tried everything in WinUAE and I cant load Pro Wizard, WorkBench says loading, I can see mem usage drop than nothing.
And the other Ripper, says I need reqtools.library, which is in the same directory as the tool and wont load.
Grrrr...
Its frustrating how much I have forgotten about the Amiga not having used it for over 10 years now.

Re: OT: Amiga module ripping
I load up the tracks in my music disk and rip them with action replay but I can't ripp twilight zone for some reason, I can find it at the same adress as the other tracks when they have been loaded and decrunched, the ripper in action replay stopps at pass3 at $04b000 and finds the tracks at $04b746 but not twilightzone though it is there at the same adress :/ must have been a error in the crunching or something when I did that back then somewhere in the far far years of -90
I also get that it missed the reqtools.library even though I have it in the same folder and so.
Maybe I should go thru my amiga disks and see if I can find out what cruncher/decruncher we used then...I think I have the actuall sourcecode for the musicdisk

Re: OT: Amiga module ripping
Download working Protracker Module from here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TFKSMSBB
Done!!! This was a great challenge to figure out. Here is how it went.
1. First Ripped the Crunched Module from Disk2 to PC
2. Bring Crunched Module into WinUAE Environment
3. used xfdecrunch which reported the Module as "ByteKiller" crunched file.
the output was the same as when I ripped the mod from RAM using HexEditor.
4. File Played fine in Delitracker and reported as SoundTracker31/24 Module.
5. Contacted some Amiga Gurus and one of them spotted that the header
was standard protracker but had been changed somehow.
6. So using a hexeditor I added "M.K." to Hex location 438 which has "2E2E2E2E"
Once you fix the header its a normal Protracker Module again
This method for some reason does not work with Kraftwerk Remix, you need to do a Memdump and hex it out, xfd wont decrunch this one, so its a memorydump and hack.
Let me know if you need anything else ripped.

Re: OT: Amiga module ripping
Thank you so very much!
The mod is working perfectly
I recognise the Bytekiller name, so that may be the cruncher we used
It's wierd that the file had changed, must have been when i crunched the file
I will get back to you if I find anything I can't fix myself

Yeah... could be something during the crunch process... as well its strange thattrace wrote: It's wierd that the file had changed, must have been when i crunched the file
I coudlnt use the same decruncher for the Kraftwerk Remix.
Re: OT: Amiga module ripping
I already have the kraftwerk mod so you don't need to rip that one if you tryed or just tested the decrunching thing
It was just 4ce the baze and twilight zone part II I needed to complete my collection for my "music disk(s)"
It will be fun to see what you all think of my mods
Some I feel is pretty wierd and off key(will fix those before release ) but some really cool
It will be a set of 39 mods from my music disks and a few that I didn't make music disks for
Here is one if you haven't heard it before that I did spice up alitte

Re: OT: Amiga module ripping
They sound about right for that era. I have commercial CD's from late 80'strace wrote: Here is one if you haven't heard it before that I did spice up alitte
The original
early 90's that are like this song.
You could have pressed it on CD and made loads of money back than.
Or wait till there is a 90's revival and release it on CD.
Re: OT: Amiga module ripping
Thanks
Well I did the track in that era so...
Some of the tracks I did back then sounds like tracks that has been done today that feels kind of wierd in a way but in the same way cool to feel like "I WAS FIRST!" LOL
My "music disk" will be my release of the music disks back then when I didn't get them out in the "open" for spreading in the 90's. Wish I had some ppl to share stuff with in those days, even on the c64
