Hi C64 music fans,
I've produced a Jean Michel Jarre track Oxygene 8. I didn't want it to sound exactly like the original though I've tried to retain the basic feel of it. I've called it; Transistor Radio Remix as you will understand why when you hear it. The track was done by using Eminent string samples put through a phaser unit from my S2000, a Microkorg for the main lead. Roland U220 for strings as well as a few overdubs FX from my A Station.
Enjoy,

Re: My Oxygene 8 remix
Very nice and clean sounding track... I dont have the greatest Speakers or Headphones, but the track does sound a bit thin, would love to hear some of the Arpeggio's beefed up. Even the Eminent string samples sound thin.
Maybe others can give better advice.
Other than what I mentioned the track sound great.

It's ok Analog -x64, your equipment and ears are not deceiving you!
This track is an experimental track and is supposed to sound thin. On the official Oxygene 8 single release there is a remix that starts off with a low-fi sound so I decided to carry this idea to it's conclusion.
It's been produced as if you're listening to it through a telephone or other low quality speaker hence the remix name. I think the final result gives it a new feeling and dimension.
If anyone is interested I have a track that I have composed and produced by myself it is inspired by Vangelis, Jam and Spoon, John Barry and Royksopp. It was done after watching the season 1 Twilight Zone episode; A Stop at Willoughby.
Enjoy at;
