Greenhorn says hello!

Post by Rohality »

Aloa & hello to everybody!

Just found this great site after searching information about a guy called "Markus Schneider"...

I downloaded one of his tracks from remix.kwed.org and was very impressed.

I like remixes from old c64, amiga, etc. tracks very much and was asking myself if theres a good cd-compilation or something like that which i can buy. Any suggestions?

If anyone prefer the germany language he/she can answer also in german. Sorry, about penetrating you with this terrible freestyle english. ;-)

I hope anyone can understand me!

See'ya
Rohal.

Well, you could try http://www.c64audio.com/theshop

There are some CDs there, I'm told :)

Welcome to the boards, by the way.

Depends, dude. =)

What musical style do you like? For example, what Markus Schneider-remix did you download and like?

(Additional note: I was *not* referring to it having to be any of my own Schneider-remixes! )

Welcome Rohal,

Sonics right, the Cd's at c64audio.com are very colourful. Plenty to choose from and there's bound to be something that fits your taste.

why not checkout the reviews of these CD's by clicking on the reviews tab. That should help you get a better understanding.

Thanks,

i will have a look at the reviews.
The track i downloaded is called "Shadow Skimmer".
I like the orchestral/movie-like ones... ;-)

Some other fine remixes which i like and listen at the moment are:

Glyn R Brown - Gordian Tomb Adventures
machinae supremacy - great gianna sisters
Puffy64 - Zak MCommando Kracken
and some great Last Ninja Remixes (Don't know the name at the moment...)

By the way...
some friends and me are developing a little "fun-project" (non-commercial) called project [rohality. Some kind of Online-Adventure, which you can find on http://www.rohality.de as soon as we reached our goal. (German only).

I just asked myself, of anybody of the great composer/remixer at this place would like to support us with some free tracks, which we could use in our project.

The setting takes place on a liitle island near New Foundland. We are looking for orchestral/mystic/thrilling tracks. That type of music which you would find in movie soundtracks...

See'ya
Rohal.

That would seem to fit the style of Glyn R Brown or Larsec most of all. I know Lars is actually at the moment creating something original that might suit your project.

Why not listen to the free sample clip of the CDs to see which ones you like: they're all good in different ways.

Oh, and check out the CD-project page here on R64, regarding the "Remix64 Volume2" CD. It's *all* orchestral/moviescore type. You might wanna buy it when it hits the scene. Preview clips are available at the page too. =)

Hi Rohality and Welcome!
By the way...
some friends and me are developing a little "fun-project" (non-commercial) called project [rohality. Some kind of Online-Adventure, which you can find on http://www.rohality.de as soon as we reached our goal. (German only).
Why German only? You should easily get some folks to translate your stuff...

There will be a heavy script an many lines of text which must be translated into english.

But if you volunteer... this should be no problem at all! ;-)
