We are happy to inform you of the release of Warhawk DS
The release notes and link to download can be found HERE
And the official forum is HERE

Any comments are happily received

I thought I would post this here, seeing the music is related and also because you are all C64 fans... (hopefully) We tried hard to keep the same feel as the original C64 game, and hopefully have achieved this.

Excellent place to post this. Thanks for the hardwork of creating this and as well sharing it like this.

It is very much appreciated.

Looking forward to trying this when I get home.

Thanks!!

Just checked out C64.com, you are missing a couple of recently released c64 games..

Tidemarsh and DR. Bazair '92

These were coded ages ago by myself and are hosted on retrobytesportal.com, feel free to add them to the site if you wish?

There are also a load of other versions of c64 games i created there too.

Thanks for the kind words guys!!

You want feedback?? YOU think YOU Can handle it???

THIS I KICK ASS!!! Love everything about it, one of my fav. C64 shooters, with one of my Fav. C64 Bands.

Now I can play warkhawk on the go!!!. :worship:

I've been talking about wanting to make a remake of a C64 game with enhanced graphics and this is what I'm talking about.. the way this game looks is what I wish to do one day.

I had all but given up playing shooters on the DS, I just found the controls not working too well... but I dont know what you guys have done but its perfect.

Love it!!!! :)

Doesn't run on my CycloDS Evolution card with firmware 1.54. After launching it's just stuck on the black "Loading... please wait" screen.

Bummer, was really looking forward to this one. :(

That is strange, we have tested on CycloDS with no problems?

Have you placed the file in sd root?

We have discovered the problem with other cards that may perhaps still cause problems on others, whe are working on it!

I use CycloDS Evolution and it runs fine.

I downloaded the EFS version with the single .nds file and placed it in a subfolder called \Games\

I will confirm if I have 1.53 or 1.54 when I get home.

I use Folders to organize stuff on my DS because I have Music / Photos / Videos and Emulators and such.

Michael, did you do the programming and graphics for Warhawk on the C64? Someone called Big E was involved too. What did he do on the game and what's his real name?

I did coding and attack waves, Ian (big E) did the graphics, playtesting, and level layouts, and Andrew Betts did coding.

I had it in a /homebrew/ folder, but can't get it to run in the root directory either. Same result. :?

Cheers! What's Ian's surname? I want to get proper credits for C64.COM...
