Warhawk DS Released
Re: Warhawk DS Released
Put the EFS version in the root of my card, and it works perfectly on my old M3CF Thanks a lot !
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO what a ride'
Re: Warhawk DS Released
We now have a new version that should work on 99% of cards straight from root..
The version at the moment is called the alternate version and is a modified EFS!
This can be found here

Any feedback would be great!

I finished Level 5 today and it froze on me.

That is strange?Analog-X64 wrote:I finished Level 5 today and it froze on me.
The CycloDS was one of the cards that we used during testing/dev and we had not had a single issue with that? Where exactly did it freeze? Was it on the bonus countup or the talking head?
We will be releasing an updated version in the next day or two, so we will look into that if you can give a few more details please.

I finished the Level, I had still half energy or powerbars whatever you want to call it.Flash wrote:That is strange?Analog-X64 wrote:I finished Level 5 today and it froze on me.

It went to the talking head screen, did the bonus counts etc.. and than it froze/stuttered.
So the sound was stuck in .2 second loop stutter, the video on top screen was frozen and the text in the bottom screen was flickering.
I'll try again today and see if it does the same thing. I'm not that good at the game so to be level 5 is not that easy for me .
When I powered it back up, It had not registered that level 5 was complete so I will be continuing from Level 4.

There is (perhaps) a newer version available from the website, not sure if you have the latest (V1.01)?Analog-X64 wrote:I finished the Level, I had still half energy or powerbars whatever you want to call it.Flash wrote:That is strange?Analog-X64 wrote:I finished Level 5 today and it froze on me.

Re: Warhawk DS Released
I had a very long day at work. I just grabbed 1.02 and tried it out and I was not prompted to continue from my previous levels, and starting from level 1. Tried loading the previous version and same thing. So I'm back to level one.
I probably wont have time till the weekend to try and get to level 5 again.

Sadly, with the EFS version, that game continue/scores is stored withing the .nds file. This is still the version of choice, though sadly each version update will lose that saves.
The FAT version is slightly messier, but does not have this problem.

Re: Warhawk DS Released
can it not be setup like commercial games? where the cart saves the save game as a separate external file independent of the .nds file?Flash wrote:Sadly, with the EFS version, that game continue/scores is stored withing the .nds file. Sometimes I swap games in my Cart but leave the save games alone so I can replace the game and continue from where I left of months later.
I guess this would be a feature
Re: Warhawk DS Released
i think you might be able to do that by transferring the games via the software that came with the card. With my M3Cf i have to do that, and then it will make a seperate file for the savegames, keep the saves in memory until i play another game etc.Analog-X64 wrote:can it not be setup like commercial games? where the cart saves the save game as a separate external file independent of the .nds file?Flash wrote:Sadly, with the EFS version, that game continue/scores is stored withing the .nds file. Re: Warhawk DS Released
Its propenty a feature that require officiel SDK, which they diddent use and have not access too around the save system and might work diffecent with homebrew applications.
I wonder if Headkaze or flash can create a little utility on pc to transfer hiscore and level start, since I guess they was not changed, but might only moved into diffecent place?
I hopefully v1.02 is the last one, because internal it they orignally planned only release it one version.
It also seen I got a good Warkhawk tune this time (its me that did all ingame tunes in that game) .

Re: Warhawk DS Released
I hope no one takes my earlier comments as a complaint.. the game is fantastic and I'm happy to have it on my DS. The seperate game save feature its just a want more than a need.
And The tunes are great.
OH I know what I wanted to ask.
Would be nice to have a feature to be able to Turn OFF or Control the volume of both Music and FX.
Sometimes I want to play without FX just Music and vice versa.
