
Released in 1939 this beast weighs 500 pounds and contains 163 vacuum tubes - it predates Moogs by 25+ years and yet has separate ADR envelopes on all keys, a full 6 octave divide down subtractive polyphonic architecture a 6 channel vibrato and resonant formant filters!!
One of only 1069 ever built in the US between 1939 & 1942 and only around 200 now existing world wide. It is believed to be the only one in the UK and of less than 20 in the whole of Europe. It was one of few instruments Hammond ever released that wasn't an organ.
It's cost me a fortune to import this beast and will take a couple of years for me to restore it back to full working condition - that said - it was working up till only 5 years ago - not bad for a 70 year old synth!
