Amok goes Space Synth
Amok goes Space Synth
If you find the melody a bit weird or odd... dont mind... Im not very talented when it comes to composing my own melodies...

Re: Amok goes Space Synth
I can totally see this track in an old-skool demo with a Scroller text, some Bobs flying about the screen and other cool effects.
Re: Amok goes Space Synth
I think you have nothing to apologise for regarding your melody, it's quite apt. Style is authentic and overall nicely produced. My only complaint is the vocal samples are a bit jarring.
Do you know spacesynth.net ? I used to hang out there for a bit, a few remixers from this scene (e.g. Mark Vera) are prolific there.
cheers.

Re: Amok goes Space Synth
And again a bunch of tweaks (which will be barely noticeable maybe... or maybe not? )

Very nice indeed, pretty catchy.
Re: Amok goes Space Synth
This pretty good, don't like the snare though, to "massive" with bass and alittle too loud
Re: Amok goes Space Synth
Okay... Da final version... (hope so...)...

Even tweaked the snare a bit...
The next space synth project is already in progress. This time with Linn drum samples...

Re: Amok goes Space Synth
Oh yes!... good ol' Space Synth
Your tunes are quite good actually, and has most of the old spirit. Laserdance, Koto etc. is what build the Space Synth genre back then... the two most notable sound sources from these old classics are the Linn Drum drumbox, and the Roland Juno 160 for the characteristic bass sound, spiced up with some cheesy vocoder-sounds. Some synced lead-synths does wonders also.
good work anyways

Heh, both tunes are pretty neat, Amok!
Thanks for sharing.
I'm not really a fan of that robotic voice but it fits in there.

The 2nd track is nice as well.. but I'm not feeling the Demo Vibe like I am with the first one which btw: the link does not work.
