You will have to imagine this to truly get what i feel whenever i listen to this.

Your in a field with about 30 thousand other people, whatever direction you look there are people except for infront which as the big stage and huge clusters of speakers and to say its "loud" would be an understatement, there are probably people in china that are getting feedback off this thing.

Suddenly all the lights go off and its all plunged into night time darkness, but you can feel the ground shaking from a sub bass, a small red light fires out from the centre of the stage and rapidly expands into a laser line, that then rapidly turns into a sort of grid pattern across everyone, smoke is shot across the crowd to give off some strange eerie ambience, that loud sub bass is getting louder and then on the twin giant screens iggy pop appears in his usual naked state, the song starts ...

The lights on the stage start flashing away so you can just about make out who's on there, for the past 10 minutes we've all been wondering just who the hell brighton port authority is.. we quickly realise and it is the loudest cheer ive heard since england scored against germany at wembley (the owen hat trick greatness.. remember that?!) its only bloody norman cook aint it, us music types are kicking ourselves for not putting 2 and 2 together, but were not given much time to reflect as this tune tears right into us, I have NEVER seen so many people dancing simultaneously in all my life and ive been to a fair few festivals, this tune absolutely blew everyone away it was like some kind of evangelical meeting we were all finding jesus, the recording here doesnt do it justice but everytime i listen to it im taken right back to that moment and it makes me smile and chair dance like i was there.

Fantastic tune.. one of those i wish id written myself.

D.O.A - (the death of autotune) - Jay Z

Dont usually like jay z, I heard this live at wembley though and it blew my (and most of the people standing anywere near the speaker stands) head clean off, A marching band parading across the stage, some guy that looked like jimmy hendrix's love child having what i can only call a "total spaz" on stage whilst playing that guitar riff and 2 drummers perfectly playing off each other it was pretty damn wild to listen too.

Had to go seek it out once the album was up on spotify and I have to say I am quite impressed how close his live playing is to the recorded.. not entirely easy to pull things off 1:1 especially that guitar playing.

Give it a listen.

Oh and empire state of mind, the alicia keyes section sticks in your head for day's afterwards..
