Hi all!
I'm finding myself a bit puzzled at the moment.
Just found this:

I've found no further information on this and just a thought crept into the
back of my head; which one came first, this or the Galway's Rambo II C64-soundtrack ?
I don't mean to disrespect Galway's work with this question, I just remembered that
not so many years ago I used to think Cobra theme by Daglish was his original...
-Tony Caven (ferrara)

OK as soon as I had posted this, I found more information.
It's been released in 1985 in Germany by Rush Records

I wonder who's the original artist ?

Re: First Patrol - Theme from Rambo II (Jungle version)
Martin always said he got his inspiration for that SID tune from an 80s disco remix of a theme from the Rambo soundtrack: and this is it! It was a long-lost holy grail for a while until Martin found a copy on Ebay, I bought it, and shipped it to Boz and Kenz.
Anyway, so, this is the official source of that Martin Galway tune.

Won't somebody PLEASE think of the children?
Re: First Patrol - Theme from Rambo II (Jungle version)
I wasn't aware!
But excellent interpretation by Martin: taking everything essential out of the tune and pouring it into 3 channel synth goodness.

Yes, it certainly is a definitive version of the original synthtune, IMHO.
Unsurpassably executed, as always by mr.Galway
Regarding the "cheap"-sounding synths used on the original remix
album, I'm not sure if I want to hear the "Torture version" which
was also included on the 12" release
