.aon to .mp3?

Post by kalandrill »

Hello everyone! Is there any way to convert aon files to more common audio formats?
When I found aon music on a local ftp server I had hard time finding any software to listen to it (not that I am completely unfamiliar with 8-bit music but this was the first time I saw aon format and google didn't do much help). A year later xmplay developers implemented aon support and I finally got to listen to this music. It turned out to be great! And now the problem is I want to listen to it on my player but player doesn't support aon format.

If aon = Art of Noise format then Deliplayer should be a worthy player for you. Then you can just grab/record the output from that, I'd guess?

www.deliplayer.com is down but if you google deliplayer you should find tons of sites offering download of it.

beyond thanks for you advice although I found deliplayer myself when I found this forum and learnt that aon is associated with commodore. I could use the method you suggested but it would be very time-consuming so I am open to new suggestions. Maybe there is some recording software which starts and stops recording automatically when the track comes on and off (so I don't have to sit and press "stop")?
