Wow, good stuff. Normally I knock something else out when I can't sleep, but that's a lot better (and healthier).

That night didnt I didnt go to sleep till 3:00AM I was up for 22 Hours and felt crappy the next day.

I'm always practicing and fine tuning my skills.

Nice!

I felt like doing something in 3D the other day as well. It's really useful to make text that can be edited with Photoshop and whatnot.

I got the VRay renderer tonight, and thought I'd test it out. It makes really realistic images, but it takes aaages to render just a single image.
This image took about one and a half hours to render.

I also made a little animation for a youtube video:

Excellent work Mordi :) I'm working in 2D and 3D, they both have their own look/feel to them.

A fast computer is a must when doing 3D and especially if you want to get realism.

I'm experimenting with 720p @ 24FPS and since at the moment I cant afford a Quad Core system, I'm utilizing
some old P4's with HyperThreading in a Render Farm type of situation.

A 30 Second clip @ 24 Frames per second = 720 Frames (YIKES!!!) and add to that, I'm messing with particles
and physics simulation like metal, water and rubber type of effects and the render times are very long.

I've got lots to learn and I'm having fun doing it. Lighting a scene and Modeling are my weakest points at the moment.

Cool!
Mental Ray is also a pretty good renderer. This image took about 5-10 minutes to render:

By the way, there are some great tutorials on 3ds Max here: http://www.polygonblog.com

Cool stuff. 3D Max is out of my league and my brain is not the sponge it used to be so, I stick to software with a gentler learning curve.

I like what you did there. You should have him/her running around :)
