So thats the basic info sorted out, I decided to redo the entire thing out of one of those "guilty pleasure" moments. It was a game that was pretty much universally panned for being frankly.. shit. But I always found myself enjoying the experience of playing it and replayed it on numerous occasions (usually after id attempted to smash my mouse to bits trying to finish off hired guns.. BASTARD game.. but i digress.. )
The music in the game itself was pretty basic but again for some strange reason I really liked it, it served its purpose well enough and so I've gone and redone all the relevant tracks in the game, but in my usual style (taking the word "remix" quite literally)
This is the 1st one .. about 95% done, theres a few little bits I will add to it before I submit it, let me know what you think so far..

I love the Sound you`re using at 1:27. All these background beeps and melodies doesn`t make sense (or lets say; are a lil`bit boring, UNTIL this came through and...ehhh, ride the Horse). So the "Intro" is quite a bit long IMO - but after that it`s kickin ass and all these "beeps" and other Noises fits perfectly.
Good Track so far (a yellow one on AmigaRemix) and close to the orange one...but still...something`s missing - and, fuck it, i don`t know what exactly

Thanks for the input sarah, really appreciate it.. I agree there is something missing, im thinking i might need to pad it out a little with a string or a ... pad (naturally lol) just to keep the quiet sections interesting especially at the start .. hopefully the finished article will continue to please your ears whilst your not too sure why

I like where this is going.
Also agreeing with Sarah on the intro.
Maybe some extra hihats or similar not so intruding instruments in the background contraposting the rythm before 01:23 ?

All is lost.

Made a few changes to the beginning so it doesnt just start out with the drum's hopefully that'll pad it out a little. Thinking of putting a few little vocal flourishes here and there and maybe a high string for the breakdown just to make that a bit more dynamic/dramatic.
Also fixed the little breakbeat section so its not quite so simple now, re-eq'ed everything so it sits a bit better and generally id say its about 95% complete.
The new file is on the link at the top, let me know what you think

I like it a lot, the main 8-bit sounding Beep, calls for some kind of 8-Bit vocal sound something like "Hello Out There" or "Hello People" in that Robotic, Impossible Mission type of voice.
I could see people dancing to this at a night club.
