c64 DTV demos

Post by tomsk »

This is the first time I've seen people coding for the DTV, (I suspect it might be old news to some, but I was impressed). There's quite a lot of cool stuff out there! Amazing what a bit more memory and some more colours brings to the c64!

Also, there's a workaround to patch different games, although it's well beyond my technical reach. I reckon someone could make a mint taking PAL version of the DTV and flashing new games (although the legality of it is called into question to say the least). I always admired the DTV from a geek perspective, but wasn't really fond of the game selection.
Wonder if anyone's thought of offering a service to patch the new games onto your DTV ? Here's a list of fixed games that will run on DTV (note, many games appear to require some coding work, and this repository lists those that are stable). Around 10-30% of games will not run on DTV for compatibility reasons, regardless of age.

Nice demo.

I have 3 NTSC DTV's and for the most part useless, you cant hack it like the PAL Edition.
