Might&Magic - Clash Of Heroes
Something totally new for me. totally addicted to this Puzzlegame. It isn`t tetris, it isn`t Columns - and it ain`t a Remake of one of these OneHundredThousand Diamond-Collecting Games. hard to describe. And all this puzzling with RPG elements, 3 cool Storylines and a Comic-Setting of "Heroes of Might & Magic"
AWESOME! 10/10

I'm on my 2nd playthrough of the Mass Effect series (this time with a ruthless mean character).
I recently bought Civilization V. I'm just waiting for an opportunity when I have lots of time to waste before I start that one up...

It's all about the notes, where you put 'em, what you do with 'em and how long they last

What, no C64 games? I refuse to even take that in!
Am I a Luddite if I stopped playing videogames by the time the N64 came out? Pity I went off them in a way as the new ones look all slick and lovely now.

Re: What are you playing right now?
These days I run software just for the music. Good for relaxing in front of, setting a mood when reading a book, performing other computer duties alongside or just drinking in the actual sound and tune. Once in a blue moon I play the actual games, but only half-heartedly for the most part.
Artura packs in some damn good tunes. Rotten game but that hardly seems to matter with Ben Daglish at the helm of the SID.

Nice box art too.
However...
Much more my thing - walking the streets blowing up baddies with a shoulder-borne anti-tank gun. You can tell it's just my level of complexity as the software doesn't let you blast any pimps or prostitutes (who are supposed to be the ones to protect?). Though you can still, curiously, turn old ladies and cops into mincemeat by accident. When the idiots in Parliament talk about violent criminals being 'vulnerable', at least that's telling the truth for once. Good clean fun and with good music too, though as so often the cracker music is far superior in terms of sonics.

And I'm so taken by the no-nonsense, paperwork-busting approach to crimefighting that I bought my own 'master' copy: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COMMODORE-64- ... _500wt_922
And now I'm remembering other games I like such as Golf Master or Krakout. At least in part this is helped by loading games from one of my Retro Gamer coverdiscs into the emulator and hardware 64. (Just like the old days when buying a magazine with Commodore software on the covermount.)
So much to get back into now this thread has prompted me.

Re: What are you playing right now?
RETRO TIP: You can imitate the computer speech by breathing in as you talk.
Another nice game I can point you to is Suicide Express, which I knew before only as Black Thunder. Quite why there were two versions is a mystery to me. But even if you passed by my last rambles, you simply must download this one.
Not only is it an enjoyable play but the cracktro tune is also fantastically good: http://www.gamebase64.com/game.php?id=7538&d=18&h=0
However, I prefer the Black Thunder music for the game itself: http://www.gb64.com/C64Music/MUSICIANS/ ... hunder.sid
Well go on then, have a try: http://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/c64/play.php?id=21734

A fine play and nice enough for synth sampling: http://www.gamebase64.com/game.php?id=3028&d=18&h=0
