(sigh) That mushroom gag reminds of the talkie bits in that Lonnie Donegan song 'My Old Man's A Dustman'.

The gag was - my dustbin's full of toadstools, how do you know it's full, cos there's not mush-room inside... Music hall humour, y'see so not exactly pant-wetting comedy material.

Dad used to love the song so it got played quite a lot when I was growing up. I will have scars for the rest of my life
