What popular music reminds you of the C64-era?
Simple question: what (regular) pop songs do remind you of the C64-era (let's say from 1982-1992 approximately)?
For me these songs make me go back in time in my mind, remembering the good old C64 times:
Harold Faltermeyer - Axel F. (heard in several SID versions of it)
Sabrina - Boys (probably because of the C64-demo using samples from the track)
Ray Parker Jr. - Ghostbusters (obviously because the track was used in the game)
Inner City - Big fun (SID-version used in some Hotline-intro)

Defenitly Ghostbusters. Loading it up and the song starts with the laugh and then the small small bouncy ball came along so you could sing along. lovely

The stuff on the Bogg Album 1: Axel F, but also Shake the Disease, Master and Servant, and Kayleigh particularly.
Won't somebody PLEASE think of the children?

Airwolf, that's true. Also Miami Vice, and Vince di Cola's Transformers soundtrack.

Apoptygma Berzerk and the last album from Prodigy had a specific track that sounded very Amigaish.

I've found generic synth tracks can remind me of the C64 era to varying degrees. Especially from the period itself.
And that's even though chip music was a seperate genre in itself.

I find that this song reminds me of the Amiga or C64: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDf1wFiOnwY
Granted, I never had an Amiga, but I'm pretty acquainted with how they sound at this point. The chiptune sound is very distinctive in this , I feel.

Magnetic Fields by Jean Michel Jarre as used in Yie Ar Kung Fu. Also Frankie Goes To Hollywood Welcome to the pleasure dome. Possibly The Stranglers Dreamtime album and ZZ Top Eliminator because its what I played when playing games with no music.
