Then give yourself a pat on the back - you did it! Making a c64 remix is not an easy task. Commercial remixers have it easy when remixing hit records. All the hard artistic work is done and they get paid for it! They get the parts like the vocals and other familiar sounds to work with. What do c64 remixers get? 3 channels of 8-bit sound that needs to somehow be transformed into a standalone remix. There are no rules when it comes to sound design on a c64 remix which makes the task challenging! To make the remix you needed a vision, an idea to make that lead sound like Jimi Hendrix had played it. A soundscape that brings across the essence of what Rob Hubbard was initially conceiving! So now can you see why you needed a good pat on the back!! oh, and you are keeping the spirit of the sid chip and remix64 alive!!

and kudos to those that have taken one idea and turned it into another from the vocalized works of mahoney to the rune bertil big band sounds, right through to the ambience of "that" wizball tune, the uk grime version of X-out, all the breakbeat, dubstep, drum&bass, modern dance music that appeared that kept the chart feeling "in" that backed up the visionary works of so many others with their eclectic sounds, the likes of mordi, moog, beezerk, dhs, amok who's sounds you could recognise without ever even having to look at who the artist was you just "knew" and to all the new artists coming through, testing the water and constantly giving us all something interesting to listen too, be it because its a bit terrible or absolutely jaw dropping.. it doesnt matter because as doddsy said.. you made it.
