Appreciate it, 2Klang (and the rest of you feedbackers). Especially since I'm not 100% satisfied with the result myself.2Klang wrote:cool article and good writing style
Still, it was great to write something again. Haven't done party reports since I covered TP97/TP98 for Driven Magazine. Someone supply me with another idea for an article before the novelty value wears off.
How about some CD reviews Jan? It would be interesting to see what you think of the "commercial" remix scene.
Or would you like to do an up-to-date interview for this site with me?
BTW, I really liked your Back in Time report.

I'm afraid the closest I'll ever come to doing CD reviews is an unpublished introduction for the Remix64 V2 booklet that got axed for being too generic (no offence taken, Neil =)). At any rate, there's a lot of people out there who are better at writing reviews than yours truly.

Eh... I already did that. In the interview you did with me for this very site back in March 2001.Tas wrote:Aaaaaanyway, how about writing an history of how RKO came about and what it is upto now?
Mind you, it could do with some updating. A lot of things have changed since then. I just can't be bothered to do it.
Actually, most of the (recent) stories involve me going "WTF?!?" at a lot of clueless feedback mails. Or taking forever to sort through the queue because some people upload 3 different versions of the same tune. Or as someone did lately - a .zip with the NeoRage emulator. Grumble, grumble.Tas wrote:I'm sure there's some great stories to be told
*Reads review*
Argh! Yes, yes, Jan, I read it and I *will* get the Wizball DVDs out as soon as I possibly can.
On top of my normal (read "Stupidly Insane") schedule, I was burgled a few weeks back, and a pile of my kit was stolen - consequently, aside from simply being bereft of my main work-boxen, I'm having to waste time convincing insurers that they have, in fact, insured me and they do, in fact, have an obligation to cough up for replacement tech.
Consequently, absolutely everything is behind schedule even worse than usual, for which I can only apologise and beg your patient indulgence. Either that, or help my find the £*%&rds who's got my *$&"ing kit....

Reminds me of the Musician's Other Ball interview in ZZAP!
Ben: Can we mention this business of having all my development disks being stolen...

Ben: They can send them back in an envelope, I won't even look at the postmark
Tony: And then you'll break their kneecaps
