Re: Bohemian Rhapsody played track by track from the multitr
Bohemian Rhapsody must be in the Top Five best pop/rock tracks of all time. Queen wanted something big but fun, which I think is a huge key. The song's just always been there to hear and really like - but you truly appreciate it fresh when you're taken by the hand through it.
I think you should make a habit of these studio postings Andy: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8196
Great stuff. A look for the 'Classic Albums' series on Youtube is always worthwhile.
Though to hear these 'bare' multi-tracks, I wonder how many people will take the opportunity to have a sneaky sample.

For me the song has always been 'there' as you say but hearing each track like this just shows what is hidden, but in full view.. The range of notes and techniques they used to achieve the fullness is where the real skill lay. Mind you, Brian may does pay homage to Beatles for many of the tricks they employ,

Fantastic. I'd love to make an instrumental mix so thanks very much for this find. But how to download the tracks I wonder.Brian May and Roger Taylor are inviting musicians to remix the hit song 'Don't Stop Me Now'
Re: Bohemian Rhapsody played track by track from the masters
There should be a little download arrow on the far right hand side of each track. If not I use Flashgot/flashvideo downloader addon for firefox. Lets you save any audio or video off the current web page.

You should find yourself the 1996 Pet Sounds box set. It seems to have everything - acapella tracks, stereo instrumentals, alternate takes with studio chatter (see below), stereo remix as well as the original over-compressed mono.
..And that's a properly balanced stereo as well. Those backing tracks could have been made to stereo rather than twin-track. Nice.

And of course there are no shortage of Beach Boy bootlegs from the Smile sessions.
A Sgt. Pepper review author takes us into smug new territories and you can read all about it whilst listening to some promised Pepper multitracks. I found some Sgt Pepper stems online once and though they were rough-sounding copies of previous reductions, they were still nice to play around with.

I'm sure people can find 'Sgt. Pepper tracks' at a favourite place.

And if anyone would any more places to download track-by-track samples from any artist I'd be hugely interested
