Re: Reaping the Ebay harvest
These days they say it's Rick Astley who's dead.
Dunno if the man finds it flattering to be in the 'so famous they say you're dead' league but perhaps it also shows the cranks have lowered the entry criteria.

Re: Reaping the Ebay harvest
Even more Beatles. So that's what my money's being vapourised on at last.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BEATLES-Rare- ... 3a83e4d786
Hmmm. Those Rockband mixing sessions proved a bootleggers' goldmine.
Good God mate, a bootleg treasure chest.......
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Beatles-Antho ... 3cd469421d
.....with a pirates' asking price.
I didn't know this 1976 collection were actually remixes:

Though not everything is vital. Not even I could sit through all this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BEATLES-ULTIM ... 4d1048944a
And the LIVE AT THE BBC album was enough:

Re: Reaping the Ebay harvest
Well you've got to admire the eccentricity of scraping together copies of every last tape known made at the Get Back filming, then putting 'em out in a box set one more time.
And mine for taking glee in piling through all this wonderful chaff. Or at least the out-takes and instrumentals would be in the case of most other bands.
Though bootleg collectors do end up finding half their albums contain the exact same stuff as the ones they bought years ago. But even here, they can find the quality does improve. And of course, there are official releases in the Far East which seem as delicious at bootlegs, like Yesterday And Today, with its alternate mixes and handful of instrumental session tracks tacked on the end.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THE-BEATLES-I ... 3cd4a954f1
I recommend ULTRA RARE TRAX and the ALTERNATE collections as sets, though I doubt I'll be disappointed with my Rubber Soul and Rock Band discs.
And let's not forget a flood of free stuff even on Youtube.
Well, a pinnacle of the computer owner's craft all this.

Re: Reaping the Ebay harvest
Yeah. Though less luck finding one of these:
http://www.coolest-gadgets.com/20060717 ... coffee-64/
The guys on here are so much cooler than me. I bet they all had one of these. In every room.
Though there is an old weather station, ubiquitous as ever they were. The weather must have been so sexy then for people to want to hook it to their computers.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Haws-Home-Aut ... 3cd51181ec
But if you're talking sexy, just look at that cover:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Input-Magazin ... 27ce8fb4b6
These Zzaps would be a lucky buy at 99p for the bundle: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Commodore-64- ... 3f28b1d095
Just like a few Disk User copies with the disks: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksi ... &_from=R40
And look at all those cheap RUNs, though you do pay a hefty posting charge: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Commodore-64- ... 19e14e1049
One-stop shops:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Commodore-64- ... 19e161d44c
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Commodore-64- ... 19bd30538c
I really do recommend this disk:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Commodore-64- ... 3cd522e414
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/COMMODORE-64- ... 5af49e0b6e
And something to run 'em on:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Commodore-64- ... 3a842ac970
And this for a fiver? Ebay is cheap on a good day.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Commodore-64- ... 4171977%26
Cheap Philips too.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Philips-PCL20 ... 6531182%26
More than enough to run Star Commander.
And here's a real living memory. A true legend:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Amstrad-PCW82 ... 3384f41944
...But stuff my a**e, a half-grand Atom:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-VINTAGE- ... 4171977%26
And £300 for a Simpsons arcade game? Well, CSDB for me then.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THE-SIMPSONS- ... 3cd4772bae
http://csdb.dk/search/?seinsel=all&sear ... -115&Go=Go
I still have the wrestling at least.

Old people comedy had become very contemporary by the '90s. Summer Wine led in the '70s when it was actually sharp and satirical. Well, for Summer Wine. After all this came Still Game.

Re: Reaping the Ebay harvest
Ooooooh.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pushpin-midi- ... 8032874%26
Though would a chiptune freak get off best with that jammed right up his bum or this?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KORG-Monotron ... 3179162%26
I wouldn't mind either right now. I mean he wouldn't.
Though with any electro sodomy contest ending in a tie, we could plump for this instead:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-KORG-KAOS ... 3a847ce874
That would definitely throw the show.

If my museum had nothing in it yet, I think I would.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wayfar-Midine ... 53fd299a25
That's a nice cart. I'd like to add a Chip Maestro to my collection.
And the flash kit seems pretty impressive too. No meddling with Eproms these days, though I would want one which supports emulator save states: http://www.stoneagegamer.com/everdrive-n8-nes-bo.html
Would need an adapter though: http://www.retrocollect.com/News/krikzz ... lable.html
This should be alright: http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?products_id=34
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sony-PlayStat ... 2a3108e285
And to get with the now wave, a Playstation 4. For £950. They must think we're morons.
(EDIT: Price cut now by £200. Must have overcharged.)
