Re: Reaping the Ebay harvest
And there are so many great movies I'd like on LD, yet are far more economical to have on DVD.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Conan-The-Bar ... 1e8303e517
That's what happens when a good collection gathers speed.

Thing to do then is to get the LD-only specials.

Re: Reaping the Ebay harvest
Well you can luckily still get it on Ebay. Not as strong, I admit but we have our Commies, so can still play what's inside.
And I need a new phone too. Well, I'll start with some needs....
£4: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ARGOS-VALUE-R ... 2584df8b6a
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OPTICOM-B300- ... 2c73b8d41a
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hands-Free-Co ... 2a0fba1c89
Could patch that into the gear and have the whole house hands-free.
And a few nice wants as well:

Hmm, you've got some good stuff there. I should kick off a Blu-Ray collection.
How much are they going for? Myself, I quite like the look of the Stallone Collection box, Taken and Con Air.

And I've got some more stuff up myself now. (Well, not up myself but up, myself):

I don't want them hanging around the place too long but I'll see how things go by Christmas.

And I'm still thinking about my one last extra LD player. (These have to run the decades you know.)

Re: Reaping the Ebay harvest
Hmm. Turns out Con Air's already in my pile of Laserdiscs. I'll keep Taken in mind though. How would I pay?
And I made more sacrifices for the shelf space. Anybody fancy a purchase?

And look at these true Hammond bargains.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/hammond-organ ... a#shpCntId
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hammond-Elect ... 4028282%26
Despite the multisamples, software and amp modelling, the real things can be beautiful acquisitions.

Re: Reaping the Ebay harvest
Nearly bought it. Perhaps should have done. But even shipping costs would denude cash supplies for a new USB hard drive dock.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seagate-GoFle ... 4aca874d30
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-3-0-Upgra ... 5d451a272d
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seagate-FreeA ... 3a87c54ec4
I advise everyone to be careful. Even external hard disks sporting SATA connections may not actually work hooked directly to the motherboard. I think the bastards crippled it. Still, spares are cheap now.
And all that buggering about made me hungry.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/18-Sticks-of- ... 35ce1727d3
Mmmm, loose filling-killingly tasty. And I don't even need to go to the beach for it now.
Might have the fudge next time.

And I'll save this for later.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/One-Second-Af ... 2584cdfea0
It's about what happens if an EMP bomb goes off. Discovery Channel made docu-dramas based on similar disasters, and bizarre ones like what would happen if the Earth stopped rotating.

Whoops Apocalypse. Bloody good fun.
