If it can output the MIDI which the Playalong Songbooks claim to have, I think I'll take one.

Magic.

This is a MIDI lead synth. Midi output from the C64 is easy but that wasn't my intent. MIDI IN ONLY. This is set up so now you can play all of those great FastFingers sounds using any MIDI keyboard....and hopefully you won't need a 1541 either...I'm still working on that part.

Well, looks all tingly excitement going by the website: http://musicinit.com/fastfingers.php

Though I'm a little confused. For the extra $50, is it the MIDI cart itself or MIDI and keyboard you're adding? You mention before to have your own cart as the software is MIDI compatible.

I'll certainly take the plunge in the New Year. Though I think perhaps the disk version could be sold for a bit less. (But then, the money does fund development....)

Yes I'm still working on Fastfingers. We have had sickness in my family and it has slowed me down, but I'm working on a MIDI interface. The reason I came here today is that I am disappointed in the C128. I thought that I could put all of my SOURCE CODE together in one large file and compile it on the C128 because it has more memory, but I was surprised to find out that it FREEZES the same on the 128 as on the 64. The File is 195 blocks in size. So after 3 days of experimenting, I'm back to compiling with PAL on the C64.

I like the 80 column display on the 128, but I won't be seeing it too often. There is no advantage.

To answer your question. I'm hoping that the MIDI INTERFACE will be $50 (with software included).
