No, not touchscreen, but it has a magic remote like a WiiMote. Without the VAT it was around the £450 mark.

And in the New Year, some fresh pads to maybe work on my Alesis DM5. Unless there's an ST or PC program out there which can chain my Yamaha DD12 MIDI and bounce up the octaves. That will ensure a second set can provide extra range for the first.

Or I could buy a cheap second spare, then put a bit of wood across them. Clumsy but should be effective, even at an angle and putting my foot anywhere along the wood.

What about using some old record mats and cardboard I've got lying around? Or even unused scraps of floor matting and rags.

Then in session, I can limber up muted before letting loose with the racket just for the tracking.
