Probably a bit crap but another nice starter kit for the kids I'll bet.

Get jiggy on? It only looks big enough to be a pillow.

Mind you, what fun a 3 year-old could have on it as a stomp mat.

Mario, where are you?

Interesting there was a time when you needed to be told which brother was which.

I'm so surprised this is still on sale. And I nearly bought it with some electric rebate money last year.

I'm lucky I found my PS2 in a charity shop for £30. Just a couple of years ago but it's the original model in pristine condition. I was so lucky there.

But for a spare, I do wonder which era Playstation 3 will best play 'em. I did hear later models aren't backwards compatible in hardware, or are just crap at it or something.

For a PS2 backup, this one looks quite the same:

I DON'T THINK SO:

What would you spend £200 on? Mario Tennis or most of the cash for that PET?

I'll have a cheaper, opened one. 99p's more like it.

And I'll try for the Simpsons skateboarder game for £2: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Playstation-2 ... fresh=true

That can just be plonked by the Hammond organ, or any corner at my place during recording. Just need to see the screen and away I go with a really neat control.

Though a mouse on top of it's enough.

Early PS3 were bad at emulating PS2, later PS3 had the facility removed altogether.

Well that's no good is it.

Still, at least being retro, I'm years behind the curve to know long in advance what to do and buy.

Thanks Chris.
