I'd like to do a constructive criticism of my first remix. I mean, I tried to upload my remix Remix.Kwed and has been denied.

average - Technically not a C64 remix as Nick Jones original SID
covers Jarres Magnetic Fields part IV. This track,
however, bears a VERY close resemblance to OMDs "Enola
Gay". Again, technically not a C64 remix.

I like that I should say on that I can improve in order to be accepted. Can it be that the sound effects included are the cause of this average. How I can improve and to be accepted?
The remix is the game's main song Equinox.

Ah, so somebody else is bellyaching are they! I'm afraid I couldn't play your tune, so would you mind pasting the link on its own so I can download?
Though I wouldn't let anything stop you, whether a tune sounds like something else or not. Music's been so done to death now that anything sounds like everything, especially the stuff in the charts.
The email is quite clear: this isn't a SID remix, because there's no SID of this tune: it wasn't rejected for being "average".
As for "average": average is not a dirty word. It just means that there's nothing particularly outstanding about the remix in that juror's opinion to elevate it into "very good" or "excellent". In my own opinion, it's pleasant, and a solid foundation to start your remixing career on: I'd vote a solid "good".
If that upsets you (and it shouldn't: many remixers first remixes were TERRIBLE), keep learning and doing remixes, but come back to listen to this one in a year. Then you'll hear what we hear.
The remixes on RKO that are "excellent" are as good as anything ever committed to CD/Vinyl in the commercial world. It's no shame to be not that good straight off the bat.
Thanks for the reply. I confirm that I was not upset at all. Rather, it is welcome your criticism.
I would like to ask you a question:
For to become a good remix, would it make more changes in music? They want to say it's not a remix, because I seem to have just changed the instruments? Excuse me if I have no clear ideas. What do you think your thoughts that may be useful for this song can be a good remix?
Thanks again for the replies and I hope to answer my questions and make better remixes.
