When you start a message saying poor idiots, what on earth do you expect?

You cannot really compare their system to ours. Doing it the VGMix way is one way, ours is another. Each has advantages and disadvantages. Showing how things work there doesn't help things here. As you might have noticed, I pointed out in disappointment that we do not receive enough reviews to base rankings on. But regarding the sheer ammount of tunes pouring in, I cannot blame anyone for not writing enough reviews.

My thanks and regards go out to everyone who contributes in any way to Remix64, be it in reviews, tune infos, discussions or voting.

Who is taking things personally? You insist on exposing our voting/charts system as inferior. I keep telling you it's a pity you see it that way, and I disagree with you. What do you expect me to say? "Yeah you're right, let's do it your way!" when I'm actually quite pleased with the way the charts work. And I hope I'm not the only one there.

Your opinon is accepted, and if you'd choose to disapear from RKO/AMIGAremix/R64 completely and do everything at VGMix, it would be a real loss, but we'd have no other chance but accepting it. So please accept our opinions, too.

At discussions like this one, it's easily forgotten that after all it's the music that counts most, not reviews and certainly not charts positions.

Please, quote any my sentence where i compare R64 voting system to VGMix one.

I simply reported one voting system that actually works well as regards the reviews.

I totally agree that those are really diffent system, a more "easy" and "free" the R64 one and a very complicated one (VGMix).

Markus, i do really appreciate your work on R64, and your latest addition was really an enlightment. I also estimate you as a person. But i'll never allow anyone taking jokes of my opinions.

As for your opinions, i can accept (and also agree or disagree) with them but you'll never see me LOLling about them anywhere.

For the whole R64 voting system thing and so on, as i stated, it was (and is) a closed issue for me.

Can now we bury the war axe?

Bigger numbers = more likely to get more reviews? Maybe I was just talking for myself, I guess, under serious f——ing deadline stress for the month, and took the comment personally when I shouldn't have done. Whatever.

I also think it will be a shame if the person who's done more remixes I like than any other, except perhaps Chris, goes elsewhere, but if that's the case then so be it.

So that's what it was all about? That sentence? That was not at all aimed at you, and it related only to our charts here. In context with this thread's very subject. Now imagine our Amiga charts with 67 tunes, based on the ratings of our 4 reviews. That's IMO a good reason for *LOL*ing, that had nothing to do with your opinion. You might remember, "Expert Charts" based on the reviews was an initial idea when we installed the review system. But time has obviously shown that this is not practicable here at Remix64.

So about the war axe, for me there is none and never has been. No hard feelings because of disagreement.

I can't see me laughing on this thread, maybe you talk about another thread. I dunno.

I'm not pissed mate neither. A little bewildered why you come in all guns blazing, but i'm not pissed in the slightest.

You seem to be cranky about something which is little more than a bit of extra fun and interest to this scene. I always thought you cared little about the charts, but why has charts become such a big issue for you?

I don't have any intention on going on this all over again, so, if you wish, try to read again the whole thread and see if you find anything you may have overlooked.

To be extremely clear, as I've said on previous occasions, you're one of my favourite remixers. When I compiled my own RKO CD, your stuff was on there more than anyone else's. To whit, personally I'd very much like it if you continue to upload to RKO rather than going elsewhere. From where I'm standing, though, you seem to have made the decision to no longer do this, hence my "so be it" comment.

In an ideal world, no-one would be a voting nonce, but it's not an ideal world. I just wish it didn't have so much of an effect on you that you that you want to quit RKO.

Nope, i'm sorry to say that while i respect the opinions of the most here, i don't agree with the main substance of them.

So, no, i'm not going to upload to rko again. I respect the site and the work of Jan, as i respect R64 and the work of the guys behind the site.
But since i put a lot of effort in my remixes (well, most of them anyway ), i expect a little of respect from the people who will download them. Respect in term of feedback (positive or negative it may be).
Or, at least, of not to be "backstabbed" (like most of the remixes of *everyone* on RKO have been) by anonymous who don't even care to say "why".
That "the price" i ask for my work, nothing more, nothing less.

But i already explained all that in another thread.

So, no, i'm not leaving R64.
And yes, my (next?) remixes will be avaiable (as always) on my site.
And again, yes, i'll upload my remixes where i think i can get some feedback, negative or positive it may be. I'm remixing and making music also to try to improve my skills. So, you find my remixes in Nectarine (since a lot of time). And maybe, you'll find them also somewhere else.

That's not a head to head war with R64 team, neither some kind of vengeance. That's my decision.

Maybe there's a lot of misunderstanding in the posts made due to differences in language or something, but under no circumstances did I say I wanted you to leave. To clarify the clarification:

1. You are one of my favourite remixers;
2. I really want you to carry on being an active part of the C64 remix scene;
3. I'd really like it if you continued to upload to RKO and just ignored the losers who vote bad on your stuff anonymously.

That's all there is to it from me. My point regarding 3 was that I thought you had already made up your mind - something that seems to be true reading your post above. Anyway, enough - I'm out of here.
