Interesting thing, or at least i think so...
Machinae use a lot of sid type sounds in their CD, as a C64 fan all will spot the use of it. However i played the CD to a friend not long ago who wouldn't know SID from a piece of cake. Interestingly he actually pointed out the sid sounds as being one of the factors why the CD was so good.
I think it goes to show the appeal of the unique sound of the SID can be appreciated by all, not just the c64 fans if used the right way.
